Natural pest and insect control involves using eco-friendly methods to manage pest without relying any chemicals. Techniques like companion planting, where certain plants naturally repel pests and insects and introducing beneficial insects, microbes help to maintain a balanced ecosystem.
Other methods include using natural pesticides made from neem leafs, lantana leafs or garlic, as well as practices like crop rotation and mulching to prevent pest infestations. These natural approaches not only protect crops but also preserve soil health, promote biodiversity and reduce the negative environmental impact often associated with synthetic pesticides. Most important is these natural pesticides will not affect the pollinators like Bees, Butterfly’s, etc. and beneficiary insects like Ladybugs, Dragonflies, Praying mantis, etc.

For Coconut and Arecanut
To control disease for Coconut and Arecanut plants that attack on the top around the leafs area (Suli area). Generally Rhinoceros beetle, white ants, caterpillars are settled or made their home on the top of the trees. These species will eat the new sprouts and leafs. This will damage the growth of the plants. For this,
Cleanup the top of the plant (suli area) every two years once on the before rainy season. After cleanup put rock salt around 300 to 400 grams for big trees, for small plants around 200 grams in and around nuts. Once rain water falls on this area the salt will melt and enters inside. This process will help to control the insects that are settled on the suli area.
Fungal diseases on the plant body.
One liter cow urine + 5 kgs of clay soil + little bit of water. mix this mixture until it become paste. In the month of March paste this mixture to the plant where fungus has attacked on the plant body. While applying the paste leave one foot from the bottom of the steam and 3 to 4 feet height from the bottom including all the branches.
Generally we get rains in the month of June. By this time, this paste will mix with fungus like a gum. When rain starts it will fall down. Repeat the same process for 3 to 4 years. This is the easiest way to control and to protect damages from fungus.
